Rachel Critchley

Proprietor of the Nursery

Rachel became the owner of the nursery in November 2016.  Rachel loved the nursery as soon as she stepped through the front door.  She fell in love the warm and welcoming feeling our nursery offered.  Rachel used to be Head of faculty and Head of PE at Tarleton Academy.  She has always valued the importance of family time and understands how important it is that we offer each individual child the best possible start in life.

Rachel has two little girls of her own and enjoys spending as much quality time with them as she can.  This was one of the main reasons Rachel took the big step of leaving her job and making a new start with her new exciting adventure at nursery.

Becca Speakman

Manager

Qualifications: BA honours in Childhood studies.

Started working at the Nursery: 2005

I am a qualified DCE practitioner with over 17 years of experience working in nursery settings.  I completed my Degree in Childhood studies in 2009 and loved every minute of it.  The knowledge of child development that it gave me helped to put in place the planning process that we now have within nursery.  I have been at Tender Years Day Nursery for 12 years.  I started nursery as a room leader in Sunflower room and have worked my way up to manager.

I work at nursery Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  I am on hand for any parental, staff or children queries that might arise during the day and oversee the day to day running of the nursery.

When not at nursery I am at home with my partner and two children- Eliza 4 and George 1.  George attends nursery 2 days a week and Eliza has just left to go to School.
