Newsletter – July 2024

We have had a wonderful month at Tender Years, we want to say a huge thank you to our staff and families who attended our Summer Fair and Graduation and made this a special day for our little ones!  We have had a visit from an Early Year’s Professional who assessed our environments, he is very impressed with our rooms and has given more suggestions for improvement.  Jordan will be supporting the rooms in enhancing our play spaces for our children!  We will share photo’s when completed.  Thank you for participating in our PJ Day Fundraiser, we have raised £95 for Crackerjacks Children’s Charity!  We also raised a huge £285 from our Nursery Summer Fair.  This will be used for resources for our outdoor provision to enhance our wonderful garden.  Thank you to all our families.

Thank you to all parents that completed our Parental Questionnaire. There are many still available in the parent entrance. The following areas are being reviewed and are in our 2024 Action Plan.

• Knowing the Team: Our staff member photos and blogs are all displayed on our Nursery Website. In our parent area, we have displayed meet the team posters, so you know who is in your child’s room.
• EY LOG: We are looking into parent information or the EY Log to support understanding observations and assessments you receive.
• Parents evenings and events: We will be planning a parents evening in the coming week and will plan more parents stay and plays for the future

• Our focus is to enhance the children’s learning experiences outdoors! We will be planning activities all about the natural world, including sounds in the environment and living creatures.
• Our topics include, Families, School readiness, Sun safety, Story of the
  week!
• Parents please remember to keep suncream consent and sun hats are brought to nursery, thank you!

• Wednesday 3rd July 2024: School Leaver’s Farm Trip!
• Friday 5th July: NHS Birthday – The children will be making cards and treats and enjoying a local walk to send cards to our local health centres.
• Friday 2nd August: Preschool Leaver Sports Day! Sport themed day for all our children. All children invited to wear sport clothing.
